Editor's Note - Unfortunately, St Patrick (c385-461), patron saint of Ireland, wasn't born in Ireland, nor was he Irish. 'He was a Briton, from the north or west of the country. His birthplace is... thought to be a lost settlement near the Severn or in Pembrokeshire, but a recent and convincing suggestion is the village of Banwell in Somerset. While still a teenager, Patrick was abducted and taken to Ireland as a slave' The Book of General Ignorance, John Lloyd & John Mitchinson, Faber & Faber, London, 2006
