Flop
Verdict: Clowns rewind time
Flop features three female red-nosed clowns, each very different in character. There is a proper, but rather incompetent, time-fixated clown (Lee Etzold); a film star-wannabee clown (Nicole Canuso); and Emmanuelle Delpech-Ramey's clown is a real animal.
Most of their time is spent in petty squabbles and general stupidity, but it all goes horribly wrong when they find that they can rewind time. They overdo it, break time - and the universe stops.
Their search for a way to recreate the Big Bang is a strange comic journey. Stephen Hawking’s 'A Brief History of Time', which descends from an alien space craft, comes to their aid. Finally - after Emmanuelle Delpech-Ramey's clown stops chasing her own tail and confusing everyone else’s reality - they hit on a solution.
Flop is for all ages. Nicole Canuso, Emmanuelle Delpech-Ramey and Lee Etzold are consummate physical performers - a joy to watch - with a fine sense of irony.
