THE BING SHOW

Verdict: Porkies beware

Show Information

This show has nothing to do with impregnating Elizabeth Hurley or with meister-crooner Bing Crosby. In fact, if you're (a) a fan of Bing's (b) a pig farmer or enthusiast or (c) a pig - this is a show to avoid.

Innocents Debra (Nadia Albina) and Steve (Stewart Davidson) want nothing more from unusual estate agent BJ Excel (James Lamont) than a place to live. But for Steve it's the start of mental destruction. For Debra, it's ... well, it involves the breeding of a race of super-pigs and world domination.

The Bing Show's enlivened by Dan Rayner both as raconteur Seamus Malone and hypnotist Grandlord Moon Xabia; Jack Hughes plays various parts, including his own as a confiding masturbator. James Lamont doubles as Captain Bent, Superhero.

Here's a show packed with energy, innovation and pig references, using live action, backed by pre-shot movie footage, stills, and a well-designed soundtrack to tell an unusual and engaging story.

Credits (names alpha order) include:

Writers - Nadia Albina, Dan Carny, James Lamont, Remy Lamont, Dan Rayner, Jake Wiltshire. Nightmare Waltz - by Sam Fluskey. Video production - Remy Lamont and: James Lamont, Dan Rayner, Dave Storring. Stills - Remy Lamont, Dave Storring. Props - Holly Lucas. Publicity pix - Vee Wiltshire. Technical director - Jake Wiltshire. Producers Sara Doctors and Jake Wiltshire. Director - Rohan Acharya.

Oh, and if you take 2 letters from the title, it reads Big Sow. Pig code, or just plain spooky?.

If you liked The Rocky Horror Show, Pink Floyd's The Wall, and the dangerous meetings in O Brother Where Art Thou?, you'll feel easily at home with Bing. If not, and if you're on the verge of a nervous breakdown, Bing's a must.
